Christmas Fair at Blanchardstown

Christmas Fair At Blanchardstown

For the first time in forever, the Christmas fair has come to our own Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

Excited? Yes.

Planned to visit? Yes.

Enjoyed it? Yes, yes, yes.

Christmas Fair At Blanchardstown

The Christmas fair took place outdoors in the grounds of Scoil Bhríde Cailíní, Blanchardstown. This is a 5 minute drive from the Blanchardstown shopping centre. This was actually an exciting moment because, of 2 reasons. I have already mentioned the first reason. It’s the first time this is happening in our cute little Blanchardstown village. The second reason being, it’s Devu’s school.

The Height Of Excitement

The excitement level for this fair was really high for Devu. She was so excited to visit this Christmas fair as it was conducted on her school grounds. This is the exact reason, why we found ourselves at the gates of the fair at around 3pm.

Number Of Stalls

The number of stalls, compared to the Christmas fair at Swords Castle, which I have written here, Christmas Fair At The Swords Castle , was actually less. But, the variety of food stalls was more though. We could find Syrian kebabs and falafels, spicy Indian curries, Irish potato fries, Chinese noodles, to name a few.

Devu got French fries. This was called “Kids bus fries” because the paper container holding it was in the shape of a cute little bus. I got the chicken noodles and my husband, Anish, got waffles from a stall called, “yummy waffles”. Bhavi was in a sleepy mood and got quite cranky. The weather too got quite chilly soon and we rushed back in order to get warm.

Celebrities At The Christmas Fair

Guess who all were present at the Christmas fair. Santa Claus, of course. But in addition to Mr. Claus, Anna and Elsa were also present to greet the kids at the fair. If you want to have a professional photograph taken with them, no problem at all. At a small charge, “Once Upon A Time” has this option available. Their site has been linked below for anyone interested in contacting them for organizing superhero parties or so.

When Does The Fair Open

The Christmas fair at Blanchardstown took place on 4th, December, 2021. This will be held again on 5th, December, 2021 (Sunday), from 11am to 5pm.

I have linked below some stalls as well as the other Christmas markets taking place around Dublin.

Summing Up

The Christmas fair at Blanchardstown had a relaxed vibe with the stalls being not too crowded. It also held a special feeling for us. So, if you are in around Blanchardstown area this Sunday, drop in and enjoy this sweet little Christmas fair.
